“INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS WEEKS CANADA” FOR STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HAS STARTED!

 

The Canada Peru Chamber of Commerce (CPCC), in collaboration with Linkers International Education, is proud to announce the start of the "INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS WEEKS CANADA", Academic Mission 2024. Last Sunday, February 25th, 26 participants, including university students and young professionals, began a two-week international academic experience in one of the most outstanding educational institutions in Canada: Thompson Rivers University (TRU), located in the city of Kamloops, province of British Columbia.

The courses delivered by TRU, focused on business, will include master classes in “Intercultural Communications for Business” and 6 workshops with the following topics:

  • Creativity & Innovation
  • Business Etiquette: Negotiations
  • Inviting Business to Your City
  • Economics in Action
  • Maximizing a Professional Online Presence
  • Modern Day Management and Human Resource Application

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to visit leading companies in the region (Business Tours) and learn about their business models. They will also explore the city of Kamloops and Kelowna through day trips to its most emblematic sites.

Business tours:

  • Royal Bank of Canada
  • A local craft brewery
  • A local mine
  • Walmart (multinational retail chain)
  • McDonald's

Day Trips:

  • Orchard Park Mall: One of the main shopping centers.
  • Summerhill Winery: The most visited winery in the province of British Columbia.

This full immersion in the business world will provide participants with the necessary tools for their professional development, as well as key networking opportunities and insight into Canada as an educational destination.
